This feels like a trap game, you guys. Coming off a record-obliterating 83-point victory over Nigeria, Team USA can't afford to look ahead to its next-... oh, whatever. This is going to be another hammering of a badly overmatched opponent. Odds are strong we'll not see a competitive game until the knock-out round and maybe not even then.

This morning's sacrificial lamb is Team Lithuania. They're 1-2, having sandwiched a win over Nigeria (poor, poor Nigeria) between losses to Argentina and France. Lithuania, which has a fine hoops tradition and on a per-capita basis might be one of the top two or three basketballing nations in the world, is led by Linus Kleiza, who's averaging 16 points and seven boards a game. No other Lithuanian averages double figures in scoring.

The game's at 6:30 a.m. California time so you'll have to get through this one without me. I refuse to watch anything on Saturday mornings except college football and Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
