USA vs Spain Open Thread

via <a href=""></a>

Team USA's victory over Spain in the 2008 gold-medal game was one of the better international contests we've seen lately. Most expect the two squads to meet again in the finals this year, but first we get to enjoy a dress rehearsal. In their last tuneup before arriving in London, Team USA faces Spain in Barcelona today at 1:30 p.m. California time. The game's on ESPN2.

Spain-USA is almost always a good watch. They've played each other five times since 2000 and in four of the five the margin of victory was 11 points or fewer. Last time they faced each other was in a 2010 exhibition that the Americans won by a point.

You'll see a lot of guys you recognize in this one, including of course our very own Pau Gasol. There's also Pau's brother Marc, Serge Ibaka, Jose Calderon and Rudy Fernandez. Should be good times! Thread it up below.
