Report: Lack Of Activity In Dwight Howard Situation Will Not Prevent Future Reports

With every passing day, the Dwight Howard saga rages on unchecked. As long as the NBA's best center and defensive force remains A) unhappy and b) still technically a member of the Orlando Magic, there will continue to be stories, rumors, and reports about the progress of Howard's prospective move. Reports like this one:

The Lakers and Magic have been in talks over Howard for the past week or so, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard, but nothing is imminent.

If nothing is imminent, and discussions have been taking place for over a week, then why have another report? ESPN isn't alone in reporting this complete lack of relevant news. CNNSI has it too, and it all stemmed from a tweet from Marc Spears of Yahoo! fame. Ironically, Yahoo! is the only major NBA news source not to have written this up as a full fledged report.

Apparently, this new "report" stems from the fact that Los Angeles is pushing hard to get a deal done. Which is humorous to us knowledgeable folk because the next time a deal gets done after it is reported the Lakers were pushing hard to do so will be the first.
