Lakers-Clippers Open Thread

New, comments

At the time I'm writing this, a little after 4:00 p.m., it's not yet clear whether Andrew Bynum will play tonight. I'll go so far as to say his presence is essential. The Clippers have played only once this week. The Lakers have played twice, including just last night. The Clips will have the fresher legs and, unless Bynum's on hand, the advantage in overall talent. As this handsome devil astutely points out, tonight's game is actually pretty important, as regular-season games go. Would you enjoy seeing the Lakers visit Oklahoma City in the second round? No, you wouldn't? I wouldn't either, so it would behoove the Lake Show to show up for this one with their act together.

There's a beer with your name on it whenever someone mentions:

  • The season tiebreaker,
  • Blake Griffin's free-throw percentage,
  • Whether Lakers-Clippers is a "true rivalry,"
  • Bynum's ankle, or
  • Baseball.
