(SB Nation Los Angeles, Ernie Pomin) Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant can apparently add insult to his injuries suffered during the All-Star game, as he will reportedly have to pay $40,000 in fines for missing a couple of mandatory events during All-Star weekend, according to USA Today.
Kobe decided to skip a press conference as well as a mandatory charity event for the league's NBA Cares program during the weekend's festivities. He wasn't the only one slapped with a fine though as Boston Celtics' Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce also will be fined $20,000 for missing the charity event as well.
That is likely the least of the Black Mamba's worries as his Lakers hit the road Wednesday night to take on the Washington Wizards in the nation's capital.
