Lakers-Grizzlies Open Thread

Presswire

Rudy Gay, who didn't play the last time the Memphis Grizzlies faced the Lakers, is back in action. Zach Randolph is back, too. Health, however, has not led to recent success for the Grizz. Already they've lost three straight games on their West Coast road trip, including a blowout at the hands of a reeling Clippers team yesterday afternoon. Weird... just a few weeks ago they looked like a potential top-four or -five seed. Such is life in the Western Conference this year.

As for the Lakers, all systems are seemingly go. Aside from a Thursday night game against OKC, the upcoming schedule has a lot of soft opponents on it. A win tonight could set up a charge toward the number-two seed.

Mix another batch of Mad Men martinis whenever someone mentions:

  • The rain in Los Angeles today,
  • Ramon Sessions's pick-and-roll skills,
  • Matt Barnes's recently improved three-point shooting,
  • How Gilbert Arenas is from Los Angeles, or
  • The Final Four.

It's time to play the music. It's time to light the lights!
