The Los Angeles Lakers look to continue their winning ways tonight, with a prime-time game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers enter the contest on a two-game win streak, and look for home-win 21 at Staples Center, and 31 overall . With less than twenty games left in the season, the Lakers need every win they can get as they try and catch the San Antonio Spurs, who currently sit in 2nd place.

However, among those not interested in where the Lakers end up in the standings, Mike Brown expressed his thoughts:

I never really put any goals like that on our team in terms of how many games we need to win or where we need to finish," Brown said. "Obviously it would be great to finish first if that happens, but I don’t think that was of the utmost importance for us because I felt the season was going to be wacky and I just wanted to be at our best at the end, wherever that was (seeding.)

If we were at our best at the end, I really don’t care if we play at home or on somebody’s court, we’ll go get it done.

As for the Grizzlies, they lost yesterday against the Clippers, so the Lakers have the benefit of an extra days' rest. Let's hope they play like it.

Elsewhere Around the League, Spurs win late, Mickael Pietrus was released from the hospital, Pau signs hundreds of items in 20 seconds and SS&R eats at a different buffet. Probably Golden Corral. Chocolate fountain, anyone?
