Lakers-Jazz Open Thread

On April 1 of last year, the Lakers beat the Jazz in Utah. It was their ninth straight victory and their 17th in 18 games since the All-Star break. It was also the last time the Lakers had a winning streak of six or more games. Tonight the Lakers can cross that hurdle if they knock off the Jazz at Staples. Take care of business in this one, and tomorrow morning the boys can open up their sports sections and see a minty "W6" next to their names in the league standings.

Al Jefferson is out for personal reasons that DON'T CONCERN YOU. Raja Bell (strained adductor) won't play either. Earl Watson is questionable, but then again, aren't we all?

Your beverage awaits whenever someone mentions:

  • Ramon Sessions's pick-and-roll skills,
  • Derek Fisher's buyout in Houston,
  • Utah's road record,
  • How the Jazz have lost 10 of their last 11 against the Lakers in Staples, or
  • How freaking cold it was in L.A. this weekend.

Brrrrrrrrr.
