This past weekend I came down with the flu, so I'm suffering a kind of detachment from reality. Has Pau Gasol been traded? I'm not sure, to be honest. I might've hallucinated a deal that sent him to Charlotte for Boris Diaw and Hersey Hawkins. Or maybe, MAYBE, that deal... hallucinated me. See what I'm saying?
My point is, I'm not sure how Lakers-Grizzlies got to be a key matchup in the Western Conference playoff race. Wasn't Memphis kinda bad for a while there? Weren't the Lakers kinda bad, too? Somehow this became a contest between two of, say, the top eight teams in the league, which is perfectly fine with me.
Snake a hit of my Ny-Quil whenever someone mentions:
- A Pau and/or Dwight Howard trade rumor,
- The Zach Randolph injury,
- The Lakers' road losses to the Pistons and Wizards last week,
- March Madness, or
- The Blues.
If you need me I'll be in bed, probably dying.
