Just hours removed from basking in the glory that Steve Nash finally participated in a full practice with the Lakers, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports drops an even more optimistic update on the point guard that we used to know never got to know. Per his "sources" Steve Nash will be targetting a return Saturday against the Golden State Warriors.
Steve Nash is eyeing a return to the Los Angeles Lakers' lineup Saturday against the Golden State Warriors if practice goes well this week, sources told Yahoo! Sports. - Marc Spears, Yahoo! Sports
Back to reality land, unfortunately, we still have to wait and see how the leg holds up through practice. In the report via Mike Trudell from earlier today, Nash said that his leg had responded well but that he was sore despite the practice being non-contact.
"(My leg has) responded pretty well," he explained. "I’ve been able to do some jogging, some running, some 1-on-1. Today was the first day actually getting up and down the floor a little bit even though we didn’t (scrimmage). It’s definitely sore, and definitely going to be a process not just to get back to complete health but also get in shape." - Mike Trudell, Lakers.com
Regardless, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter for the Lakers and Steve Nash. Updates as they come. Almost there everyone.
