The wheels keep on turning, and will likely be doing just that until the dust settles. Only hours after Mike Brown was dismissed from his duties with the Los Angeles Lakers, Phil Jackson has emerged as being open to a return to coaching in the NBA according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN LA.

Phil Jackson is open to returning to the NBA sidelines, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the Hall of Fame coach's thinking.

"He's been in tune with the Lakers' season and has kept an eye on the league," a source close to Jackson told ESPNLosAngeles.com.

This story is FAR from being over, but Phil Jackson is likely the top choice for every fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. It's incredible difficult to say no to Jackson and the success he has brought the organization. The new group of talent may be enough to coax him back to the sidelines, but it's still just skepticism at this point. Sparking even more rumor mongering is the fact that Jackson has been spotted at the Lakers' practice facility lately, though it's important to keep in perspective that he is currently involved with Jeanie Buss.

Anyway, we'll keep everyone up to date on what "sources" and people "close to the organization" have to say about the new, exciting Lakers coaching search. Just when we though all the excitement of the hunt for Dwight Howard was over, a new chapter has unveiled itself.
