Steve Blake fined $25,000 for cursing at fan

The Lakers guard was penalized for using profanities towards a courtside fan during Friday night's game against the Clippers.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced that Lakers guard Steve Blake was fined $25,000 for "directing inappropriate language towards a fan" during the Lakers' loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.

The incident occurred with 29.2 seconds on the clock and was caught on camera. It is clear in reading Blake's mouth that his comments were profanity-laced and the league took action (and some of Blake's money) once they got word of the incident.

Blake didn't stop at his initial comments as he went over to the courtside seat where the fan was sitting and finished his conversation. You cannot read his lips during that portion of the conversation but his body language shows that the conversation still held the same tone as his original comments.

It was the end of a frustrating game for Blake, who finished with eight points on 2-of-6 shooting and only two assists in 39 minutes of play while his counterpart, Chris Paul, put up 18 points, 15 assists, six rebounds and three steals.
