Lakers-Kings Open Thread

Tired legs but a weak opponent.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

Last night's win was exhilarating and exhausting in equal measures, and ideally the Lakers would be resting tonight instead of on the road for the tail end of a back-to-back. Fortunately the Sacramento Kings are a nearly perfect opponent for these less-than-perfect circumstances. Were it not for the winless Wizards, the Kings would have a decent claim to being the worst team in the NBA. They're 2-8 and have lost five in a row, including a loss to the Lake Show at Staples on November 11. They were shorthanded in that one, with their best player DeMarcus Cousins out serving a suspension, so tonight's contest won't be as simple or straightforward from the Lakers' perspective. Nonetheless this is a Kings team that does almost nothing well, and it would be a step backward for the purple and gold to lose this evening at the majestically named Sleep Train Arena.

Enjoy the basketballing.
