Steve Blake has an abdominal strain; out tomorrow

An ultrasound exam taken today showed a minor abdominal strain for back-up/starting point guard Steve Blake.

The Lakers will be without both of their point guards named Steve tomorrow night against the San Antonio Spurs. That's because an ultrasound exam taken today revealed a minor abdominal strain for Steve Blake, and the team announced that he will miss tomorrow's game.

Lakers guard Steve Blake underwent an ultrasound exam earlier today by Dr. Steven Yoon; results of the test showed a minor abdominal strain. Blake will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs and his status beyond that will be day-to- day.

This likely means that second year point guard Darius Morris will be the starter against the Spurs, with Chris Duhon acting as his back-up. I guess carrying four point guards on the roster has it's benefits. The fact that three of those four guys are bad or worse is not so great, though, especially when going up against Tony Parker.
