Second round pick Darius Johnson-Odom has been assigned to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers' D-League affiliate, the team has announced.
Johnson-Odom made his pro debut on Friday night against the Warriors, playing one minute while accumulating no stats. At least he got to dawn a Laker uniform in a regular season game.
Johnson-Odom was the 55th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft coming out of Marquette.
In case you were curious as to whether or not assigning DJO to the D-League opened up a roster spot to sign someone like Delonte West, it does not. Johnson-Odom is still considered to be on the active roster.
