As much as it pains me to see Robert Sacre's minutes fade away into the darkness of the night, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Jordan Hill is ready to make his return after suffering from a herniated disc.

After sitting out two weeks to rehabilitate a herniated disc in his back, Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill will return to the lineup against the Los Angeles Clippers, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

Hill is expected to play Wednesday against the Clippers, and likely again in the final preseason game on Thursday against Sacramento in preparation for opening night on Oct. 30 against Dallas.

This is welcome news for the Los Angeles Lakers, who are still all smiles after another certain big man (cough Dwight Howard cough) made his debut in the purple and gold Sunday. With the bench playing as poorly as it has, having a competent defender and two-man game weapon back into the fold will certainly help smooth out this bumpy transition for Brown and co.
