The new edition of the NBA 2K video-game franchise doesn't drop until October 5th, but today we have a couple badass teaser items to help tide you over. The first comes from Kotaku and involves news of a free demo that 2K sports is releasing next week. On September 14th, Xbox 360 and PS3 will, through their download services, allow users to play a five-minute quarter of Lakers vs. Celtics on 2K11. Thus the world will get its first glimpse of a 400-pound Shaquille O'Neal in Celtic green.
Also, after the jump we've got (via Operation Sports) about seven minutes of 2K11 preview footage breaking down refinements the game designers have made to the Digital Lakers' Triangle offense. It only shows the starters, however, so if you're dying to see Derrick Caracter huffing and puffing his way down the floor or Shannon Brown blasting up jumpers with 19 seconds left on the shot clock, you'll have to wait a bit longer. At least you can start getting used to watching Ron Artest in his new jersey number.
