Shannon Brown Is Good at Acting, Cuddling

This is the sort of thing that NBA blogs post in mid-July. A music video in which appears the backup shooting guard for the team you write about. If you think I should have something better to do on a Saturday night than watch and critique Monica's video for her new (?) single "Love All Over Me," please note that you're here reading about it, so really, I don't think either one of us is in a position to ridicule.

Anyhoo, the electrifying plot revolves around Shannon Brown, who plays... well, he plays Shannon Brown, I guess. He and Monica are a couple who spend a lot of time snuggling in bed and admiring each other's chiseled physiques. Also Shannon shows off his tats.

He and Monica are headed for wedded bliss until some guy gets out of prison and starts creeping in on the lovely lady. Seduced by his bad-boy charisma and presumably superior ability to defend the pick-and-roll, Monica gets cold feet and can't decide whether to go through with the wedding. That one of the guys is a highly paid professional basketball player and the other a shiftless felon proves surprisingly unpersuasive.

But wait, there's more! At the end you're supposed to text in a vote for either Shannon or the other guy. Obviously anyone who does so is an idiot.

In conclusion: woman love guys who just got out of the joint, and it's fun to cuddle on high thread-count satin sheets. A far better music video awaits after the jump.
