When Laker fans see Adam Morrison enter the game, they can be sure that something has gone either very right or very, very wrong. Guess which one happened this evening.
Weaving a tapestry of pure awfulness, the Lakemen got rocked by the Dallas Mavericks, at home no less, by a final score of 94 to 80. The margin of defeat doesn't do justice to the bloodletting: at one point late in the third quarter, the Mavs led by 22, and from there the Lakers never got closer than 12. Aside from a nice game from Shannon Brown and tireless defense on Dirk Nowitzki by Lamar Odom, no Laker played well. Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Jordan Farmar and Ron Artest together honked 31 of their 42 field-goal attempts. Fun!

As you can see, in no area did the Lakers cover themselves in glory. Especially galling was the free-throw disparity in favor of Dallas. Whether the whistles were a cause or symptom of the home team's wan effort, I leave to you.
Not so incidentally, Pau Gasol reports that he's definitely concerned about his hamstring injury. There is no date set for his return.
Full recappage to come in the morning. In the meantime, this is your postgame thread. Please, share with us your pain.
