On Friday, I headed downtown to check out the mood in Los Angeles. I expected more Lakers colors than I found, and learned that that only really happens on game days.

As part of my gig as credentialed media for the NBA Finals, I'm doing some blogging exclusively for NBA.com. This was my first post, describing the atmosphere at Staples for Game 1.
