You may get a warning, you may not. You definitely won't get two. Play it safe. IMPORTANT: Laker fans are not above the law! If you're disrespectful or act as though these rules don't apply to you, you will be banned.

Rules

# Racism and bigotry will not be tolerated
This includes using the word "nigga," calling someone or something "gay" or "a fag," using racial slurs, etc.
# No personal attacks, and no Ad Hominem arguments.
# No flaming
# No excessive swearing
We're lenient, but keep it to a minimum.
# No trolling
# Do as you're asked
We can't put every rule in here, so if a moderator asks you to do something (i.e., drop a certain argument/debate), do so.
# Be respectful to all
# Call teams by their actual names
Our team is not the L*akers or the Fakers, it's the Lakers. And that team from Sacramento? They're the Kings.
# Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
Even small children understand this one.

Guidelines

These aren't rules, and disobeying them won't automatically get you banned. But we want a top-notch, intelligent, respectful community here, and we'd appreciate your help with that.

# Know the difference between an opinion and a fact
Afford people the right to their own opinions, and they will do the same for you.
# Know when to quit
If you are simply repeating arguments you’ve already stated, or even worse aren’t providing any evidence for your position at all anymore, it’s time to move on.
# Be prepared to back your shit up
# Keep it positive
Try and refrain from tearing down the teams/players/opinions of others as a way of promoting your own. You don't need to criticize LeBron as a way of promoting Kobe.
# Act as though you're not anonymous
If you wouldn't say it in person, to people you care about, don't say it here.
# Try to be objective

In the end, this is really quite simple: Try to be mature adults. If you're not an adult, pretend you are, and try to act "all grown up." Treat others the way you would want them to treat you if the shoe were on the other foot. Do that, and everything should be great.
