Luke Walton was a fan-favorite in Los Angeles even before becoming the newest head coach of the Lakers, but his first summer with the team has further improved his standing in the city. From pumping up the team’s young players with positive comments in the media to playing beach volleyball while listening “I Love L.A.”, Walton is picking up fans left and right this offseason.
The latest stop on his summer introductory lap was Saturday night’s Los Angeles Dodger’s game, where Walton tossed out the first pitch before the team took on the Arizona Diamondback’s at Dodger Stadium.
Walton was always a great passer during his time as a player, and those skills appear to transfer to the diamond, where his the form on his pitch looked pretty good. Actually... The Dodger’s do need a little help in their bullpen. Maybe Walton can pick up a little bit of summer work?
