Taylor Swift is currently performing at Staples Center in Los Angeles as part of her 1989 Tour. Friday night, she was joined by a very special guest on stage, a man who knows just a little bit about providing entertainment to Staples Center patrons, none other than Kobe Bryant.

Another thing Bryant has some experience with is the raising of banners to the Staples Center rafters, something he has done 5 times during his time with the Los Angeles Lakers. The reason Kobe was brought out, in fact, was to bestow Swift with a banner of her own, recognizing her record 16 sold out shows at the venue:

We also have video of the encounter between Bryant and Swift (via the Staples Center Twitter feed):

But what was Kobe was whispering in Swifts' ear there? Probably something along the lines of friends coming and going, but banners hanging forever. Or thanking her for inviting him on stage. One of the two.
