The Lakers have officially added a 14th member to their by signing Xavier Henry.

The Los Angeles Lakers announced the signing of former Kansas Jayhawk and 2010 first-round draft pick Xavier Henry in an official press release. Terms of the deal were not released per team policy.

The 6'6 shooting guard was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies prior to being traded to the New Orleans Hornets during the 2011-2012. He averaged 3.9 points (41% fg, 36% 3p FG%) and .3 assists in 12.5 minutes per game through the 2012-2013 season.

The signing of Henry makes 14 players officially under contract going into the 2013-2014 season. The team has yet to sign rookie Ryan Kelly, who has shown "discouraging" progress regarding his foot injury, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin:

The Lakers drafted Ryan Kelly in the second round primarily for his ability to stretch the floor with his long-range accuracy, but the team has been discouraged by the rookie's progress during the summer, according to multiple league sources. The Lakers doubt that Kelly, who missed summer league while recovering from multiple foot procedures, will be ready for the start of training camp.

The Lakers also signed veteran forward Shawne Williams this week, leaving just one roster spot open going into training camp. Marcus Landry, who played for the Lakers Las Vegas summer league team, also reportedly has a "small guarantee" contract which was described as a "training camp invite" by Shelburne.
