Dwight Howard has been tucked away in Aspen, Colorado since taking his final meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers as he makes his decision. Rumors have pointed to his announcement coming at the end of the week, but there are "no assurances" that Howard will let the world know where he plans to play by Friday, according to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Lakers might be "bracing" for the worst, but the organization remains "prominent" in Howard's mind, according to Wojnarowski.
This comes after a report late Thursday that revealed the Lakers had begun to lose confidence since their meeting and feel that they could be as low as fourth on Howard's preferred destination list. Their stance on refusing to discuss sign-and-trade options for Howard was being reconsidered, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Marc Stein.
Reports are only becoming more scattered as the basketball world waits for Howard's decision.
