Lakers news: Marcus Landry has 'small guarantee' contract to join Los Angeles Lakers, according to report

USA TODAY Sports

Have the Lakers filled out their roster with another summer league invitee?

Marcus Landry and the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a "small guarantee" contract, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. Shelburne also states that the deal is "more of a camp invite."

Landry averaged 15.2 points per game and was the team-high scorer in four of the five games that he played while on the Lakers Las Vegas Summer League squad.

Landry, 27, has previously made the 2009-2010 New York Knicks 15-man roster, and was later traded to the Boston Celtics. Since then, he has played for the D-League with the Maine Red Claws and Reno Bighorns before going overseas. Internationally, Landry has played for Puerto Rico, Spain, China, Venezuela. He returned to the Bighorns D-league team in 2012.

Landry averaged 16.5 points per game while shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc with the Bighorns through the 2012-2013 season. He also won the 2013 D-league Three Point Shootout.

Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register has reported that the Lakers are intent on entering the season with a 14-player roster, which would make Landry the final roster member once draftee Ryan Kelly is signed. The Lakers also signed Elias Harris out of their summer league roster, and Chris Douglas-Roberts is expected to receive a training camp invite.
