The Lakers have been linked to recently waived Louis Amundson.
The Los Angeles Lakers' depth in their frontcourt has been hampered, and Ken Berger reports that the Lakers have interest in recently waived Louis Amundson.
Among teams that have internally discussed Amundson are the Lakers, Knicks and Sixers, source says.

The Minnesota Timberwolves released Amundson, and the Lakers could certainly use another "veteran" big man. On his career Amundson has averaged 3.8 points per game, and 3.6 rebounds per game. Earl Clark is currently undergoing an MRI on a sore right foot which would put the Lakers in even worse position to make a run for the playoffs, and Pau Gasol will be missing a minimum of 6-8 weeks with a torn plantar fascia.
With All-Star weekend coming up it provides a window for the Lakers to bring a player on board during a break to acclimate himself. Louis Amundson spent time with the Phoenix Suns and Steve Nash from 2008 thru 2010.
