I know this isn't a football blog, but I'm sitting here in my living room, just 20 miles or so north of Oceanside, CA, thinking of all of my friends and co-workers who live in and around Oceanside, who have been life-long Chargers fans...and about the untimely passing of one of the greatest, most-loved NFL players you will ever come across. I won't pretend to understand what could drive a man with so much success in his public life to make such a decision as Junior did this morning. I'm simply saddened. I have never been a Chargers "fan" per se. But I know the love that fans have in their hearts for those few players who give their all for the glory of the team and their fans. It's probably borderline ludicrous to say that Junior's death is even remotely like losing a family member, but I know that there are grown men and women in tears everywhere in SD County tonight. If you think of it, and if you are inclined to do so, stop by Bolts from the Blue to give up some love.
