I am just surprised that the 2003 class is already considered by some as a top3 or even the best draft class ever. I don't hate Lebron (in fact I believe he is the best player in the NBA since he win his 1st MVP award) so you cannot say that my judgment is clouded by partiallity.

I believe the debate of the best draft class is between the 1984(jordan) and 1996(kobe) only. Its a battle between a Top Heavy Class(1984) and the deepest class(1996).

1984: Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and John Stockton (Superstar|HOF). Otis Thorpe, Kevin Willis and Alvin Robertson (allstars) Sam Perkins (notable player)

1996: Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash (Superstar|HOF). Ray Allen (HOF). Ben Wallace, Stephon Marbury, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Antoine Walker, Peja Stojakovic, and Jermaine O'Neal (allstars) Zydrunas Illgauskas, Derek Fisher and Marcus Camby (notable players)

2003: LeBron James and Dwyane Wade (Superstar|HOF). Carmelo Anthony (Superstar) Chris Bosh (allstars) Chris Kaman, David West, Mo Williams, Josh Howard and Leandro Barbosa (notable players)

1985: Patrick Ewing and Karl Malone (Superstar|HOF) Chris Mullin and Joe Dumars (HOF). Detlef Schrempf, Terry Porter, Charles Oakley and A.C. Green (allstars). Xavier McDaniel, Michael Adams and Spud Webb (notable players)

My Rankings:

1.1996 - 4 future HOF (AI,KB and Nash are sure HOF). I make a case that Ray allen is also a future HOF if Reggie Miller is included in HOF.(Number of allstars 10:5, Better stats on most categories, Most career 3FG made). And a very very deep talent pool.

2.1984 - 4 HOF (Top 5 SG,PG,C and PF ever) and some good players

3.1985 - 4 HOF and a deep talent pool of notable players and allstars

4.2003 - 2 future HOF. 1 (20% chance of HOF) and some good players (Chris Kaman, David West, Mo Williams, Josh Howard became allstars for at least once) but are they really that good to be called allstars?
