A Key to a Less Stressful Laker Fandom

For the last few years I have found a way to save some time, anxiety and stress during these up/down Laker times. I DVR all games. Afterward I check the game thread on SSR. If there are huge amounts of comments, probably a loss. I don't watch it then. I save 3 hours of frustration and upset. No screaming "Kobe, facilitate! Kobe go Mamba! Gasoooooooooollllllll! Try Harder! Please oh please don't shoot MWP. or dribble. D12, maybe try closing your eyes when you shoot free throws! Mix in some frow practice time! MBrown sucks! MDA sucks! The refs suck! and many other colorful euphemisms" None of that happens when I don't watch.

Instead, birds sing. I get more quality family time, catch up with reading, watch old Laker VHS tapes, watch the Walking Dead (maybe that was the game. I get confused sometimes). And if the SSR forum is seemingly lighter, I watch with 80's-esk confidence in victory. (sometimes I cheat and look up the score) It is awesome! No matter what happens during the game, I know a happy ending is in store and the time investment pays off. Up 20 points, great, down 10 with 5 to go, no worries. James Worthy will be happy, which makes me happy.

It will likely save me a heart attack. Or a shoe through the 50". I recommend it to all
