The Tweets
Btw I've decided to takeover nikes twitter handle for a few days. So yes I'm finally tweeting!! Mamba out
Dwight Howard talking to Pau Gasol about team clapping knees and then hissing when Kobe Bryant's name is announced
Nash is gathering his teammates, pointing to his temple: "Let's keep our heads." One guy doesn't join as he jabbers to ref: Dwight
D'Antoni summarized why LAL are confident moving forward: they get a pretty good shot most times down, even in crunch time.
Mike D'Antoni credits late LAL D (Knicks scored only 16 in 4th), & of course Nash orchestrating everything. Can't deny his impact.
Keys to the Lakers' win: Defense (held NYK to 42.7 pct shooting, 16 4th quarter pts) and low turnovers (just 12 as a team)
Pau on his late-game slam: "I don't dunk as often as I used to. It felt good to go to the hole"
D'Antoni on Pau all alone for that dunk: "So much attention on Kobe and Steve and Dwight ..."
Asked about his tussle with Tyson Chandler today, Metta paused, struggling to remember it: "I got a lot of tussles. I don't even know."
Kobe on @stevenash running end-game Lakers show: "It puts everybody in position to do what they do best."
No question LAL needed Kobe to facilitate more when Nash was out, & sometimes his big scoring games made it tough to do both.
The whole "The Lakers were 1-11 when Kobe scores 30+ points" thing is dying. They've now won 5 straight in which he scores 30.
