This is one of the reasons that I love Kobe.
Lethargic, out of sorts and moving as though they were playing their ninth game in 13 days, the Lakers already looked beaten minutes into Friday’s game against Golden State.
Andrew Bynum struggled inside against Golden State’s Kwame Brown. Pau Gasol couldn’t get his shot going. The bench was listless.
Only Kobe Bryant, with his right wrist taped and numbed, looked ready to play.

I hope so.
"No one really has a comfort zone or knows where their shots are going to be on the floor. I think that’s going to come along the more we play together."—Jason Kapono, on the Lakers’ three-point shooting struggles
5-4 is no bueno. We need to start winning or this will be another Tomjanovich experiment.
"They’re a very special group of men. Cherish them, you will not see their like again."

MOST OVER-RATED PLAYER IN HISTORY: KOBE BRYANT
12:15 pm Jan 06, 2012
THE MOST OVER-RATED PLAYER IN HISTORY! I am a Laker fan and go all the way back to Showtime. I remember Kareem and Magic and Worthy and how they would perform in pressure situations. I have watched EVERY playoff game Kobe has ever played and NOT ONCE have I seen Kobe win a playoff game with a clutch shot, or even sink free throws when the game was on the line. Not once. All I remember is the misses, that other Lakers either put back or made for him that won the big games. The bottom line is this: Kobe may end his career with scoring records and great stats but he has yet to prove he is capable of performing when it matters most. It’s as if there is a ‘spell’ on everyone that thinks he’s one of the greatest ever. I must be immune to it and see him as he is; a great season player but a choke artist in the playoffs. In case I missed something, I welcome enlightenment on this and would like to know what GAME WINNING SHOTS he ever made in crucial playoff situations that won games. Anyone?
Must have missed game winning shot against Phoenix on 2006 or the game tying three to force overtime against Detriot on 2004 that they eventually won. That’s 2 that I remember at the top of my head.
Yeah
Its just amusing for him to say that he watched EVERY playoff game but then didn’t remembered at least one of Kobe’s GWS. He must have a selective amnesia/memory or something.

He's probably not actually a Lakers fan,
and is just saying that to seem like he has some ‘credentials’ or something. Just a guy who wants to be a dick. It’s sad really haha
probably a warriors fan.
their anti-kobe obsession borders on something clinical
You’ll never see a cool quilt back away…
I could definitely see it,
that said most fans of other teams hate Kobe, and don’t respect him at all. Blazers, Warriors, Clippers, Rockets, Heat, and Celtics fans are all pretty prime examples that I’ve been exposed to at least.
Pretty much every Celtics fan I know thinks Kobe is a top-10 talent of all time, without question.
And other fans hate Kobe, but not to the level that Warriors fans do. Case in point: when I ask friends who are fans of other teams if they would take Kobe on their team, they all say yes. Warriors fans on the other hand say no.
You’ll never see a cool quilt back away…
I've just had different experiences,
of Celtics fans calling Kobe overrated. I’ve also heard Clippers fans talk about him needing to be amnestied, and that he makes the team worse. All that said, yeah, I’ve heard the same stuff from Warriors fans.
Gold medal game. Nuff said

Kobe hasn't had clutch shots because he only has clutch moments
so STFU!
I apologize if you get mad by what I say, let me know when you take the stick out of your ass so I can continue commenting.

"Chris was simply the best I have ever seen. He would stay in the gym for hours, launching threes from everywhere inside halfcourt, in repetitions that spoke more of obsession than dedication. Chris practiced with fear, with a sort of cold sweated abandon, like he had been let out of hell to play ball one last time." -MATTHEW PIERCE

I'm impressed with Pau as a professional, as usual.
He’s made the move to the high post pretty well, and I thought last night he was a big reason why we won. Y’know, besides that one shooting guard.

Kobe’s usage rate is at a career high not only because of his shot attempts but as well as being the playe maker in our team.
Moreover, if Kobe is going to lower his usage rate, the Lakers likely need to find ways to help him do it. Case in point: Via Synergy, Kobe has been the ball handler in 40 of the team’s 59 pick-and-rolls. Without another effective alternative in those situations, it’s tough to remove Kobe from the mix.
Yep yep
just said this in the postgame thread. His usage rate even with lower shot attempts won’t come down if they continue playing off of him heavily.

Well this team doesn't have a play making point guard
Two spot up shooters and a rookie who is never active.
I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot.- Kobe Bryant
A.J. Burnett's only fan!
so he's inactive?
