Is Kobe's Ego Hurting Bynum?
This is an interesting take I found on the net. Drew's biggest problem may not be his health.

It actually looks rather suspect.

It's not completely wrong, but....
If every game this season looked like that second game against Denver, then there might be something to this. The fact is, whether he’s hitting or missing, it’s important for Kobe to be taking those shots now. If Kobe wants to risk a game or two early on in order to make sure his wrist won’t mess up his shots come playoff time, then I’m all for it.
At the same time, Bynum will also be important at the end of the season, and some more touches now might help with that.
Also, overall team chemistry is something that’s important to develop.
BUT, it seems Kobe has made the decision to focus on getting his scoring back to top form first, and work on the rest afterward. And with his recent explosions, I can’t argue with the results. Kobe and Mike Brown will attend to the rest as the season goes on. Kobe knows he can’t win alone, but he knows the Lakers can’t win (a championship) without him.
Also, the more scoring explosions he has now, the easier it will be for Pau and Bynum to get their own points later, as teams get painful reminders of what Kobe can do to them and have to focus their defense on him.
In summary, Kobe knows what he’s doing.
