Same here.

Plenty of us at SB Nation have Android phones and are pretty excited to get to work on the SB Nation Android app! We’re going to get feedback on the iPhone app, make some updates and then put all of that learning into creating a kick ass Android app.
Hoping to have it out in a few months.
Awesome, thanks!

Why would ESPN be pushing for this?

At second glance, I take it this means SB Nation and not ESPN...
This post comes to us from the mothership
When I hear “mothership” I think of it in the Dan Patrick usage.

Is the interface with the blogs user friendly to creating posts or is it more suited to general browsing and reading?

Right now you can’t fanshot or fanpost but, we’re hoping to add that functionality in the future. The app is still pretty awesome as you can customize which sports, blogs and teams you want to get news for.
Sounds like a good start. As long as it allows for commenting and profile access initially, thes rest can come later.

Unless you didn’t actually comment from the app … the race is on

Oh, I haven't seen it up close. Might have to check it out.
I love my Droid and have it for another 8 months or so. Then I have to decide if I want to upgrade. Just wish they could move all your saved texts/pics over.

Galaxy S 2 comes out soon.
You should be able to transfer your pics over at least.

Speaking of which...
I guess I didn’t follow Farmar off the court much, but I had no idea he is one of only two Jewish players in the NBA. The Israel contract makes more sense now. Cool that he gets to play in his “homeland”.

Do you have to agree to let the app know your GPS location, access your contacts, etc. Ads are one thing, but digging into my phone to customize the experience is unnerving.
