Alright, so the proposed meet up is just one week away. ONE WEEK AWAY FOLKS!!!
To those that are planning on going, awesome! To those that won't make it, sorry that you couldn't be there and we'll make sure to talk some ish about you. Haha, only kidding.
As we all know, SS&R sorta kinda blue (iswydt) up this past year. This site has become much more than a sports blog, it's become a strong community of Lakers-crazy fans. As such, we've developed friendships on here, and now it's time to put down the 1s and 0s in favor of the vis-à-vis. We've thrown ideas around before, but it's finally manifested itself into an actual event.
On Saturday, June 25th, we're all going to put our laptops down for a change, and hit up a nice park in the Pasadena area. More info will be distributed via e-mail, for those that are actually going. The reason for e-mails is simple, this is a public forum and we don't want random people showing up.
Another idea that was recently brought up, was attending the Angels @ Dodgers game on Friday the 24th. The game is at 7pm, should be fun all around. Now, I know one of you guys has more experience than me with Dodger games and tickets, so please, share you experience and the best way to get tickets. We can easily have a 6-7 person group for the game, and that will make it easier to watch. Everyone knows baseball sucks. (kidding)
In all seriousness, hurry up with that info people! We want to watch a baseball game (sniff..sniff..no Lakers >.<) on Friday, before the picnic/sports/chill day on Saturday. This of course brings me to Saturday's shenanigans, and here is what will happen: picnic (who brings what will be disclosed in e-mails) sports (Bball of course, we are a Lakers blog and some soccer for others (read: Blue and CLL) and maybe a Saturday dinner (I just added this, felt like it needed to be here. lol).
Ok, so you've heard me ramble and talk like an idiot, now it's time for you all to join in on the comments! Let's make this a great event people! GO SS&R!!
Very Important: For those thinking of going, please make sure you have a valid e-mail address in your profile. It is the only way for me to contact you. Thanks.
If you wish to contact me letting me know you're going, send me an e-mail (address is in my profile). Subject line: SSR MEETUP.
