There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be committed against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the Limelight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

Pray that other teams aren't as high on him
He’s probably the third point guard off the board in the second round after Cole and Mack.

“This is still his team. We’ll make sure that he’ll have the ball in the sweet spots that he likes,” Brown said.
Allow me to diagram it for you, coach.

Tim Duncan wins championships. Vince Carters fills the arenas.
Kobe Bryant does both. -- from some Yahoo! column, I think it was Steve Kerr.

Shaq and Jack,
leaving in the same year. As much as I liked Shaq as a Laker, he hasn’t done much for me since.
Can't spell "Colletti" without LOL.
Shaq finishes his career
1-22 from 3-point range, which would have made him one of the better shooters on this year’s Laker playoff squad.

Why oh why they couldn't have worked it out
If only Kobe and Shaq have done the Kumbaya like LeBron and Wade are doing now, how many titles would the team have had? I still maintain that the three (including Phil) are at fault for not staying together: ZenMaster for using Kobe as his whipping boy to appease Shaq; Shaq for his condescension; Kobe for, well, being Young Kobe. Arrrrhhh…
LOL, Kobe couldn't control his age, but the others were in control of their actions.

Exactly!
I can more easily forgive Kobe’s part in the drama, because he was still young and after years of dealing with Shaq’s taunts and insults, I doubt he was in any mood to be the bigger man. (no pun intended!)
Phil and Shaq, however, were grown men and should have known better.

I've read the Lazenby books, and couldn't believe that Phil and Shaq did those things to Kobe.
Egos all around. Kobe had his share of the blame, but would you really stick up for Shaq in 2004 if you had to endure getting blasted and blamed by him all the time?
Kareem's causing controversy left and right, it seems.
I smell a publicity stunt, especially considering his dislike of Wilt detailed in the BDL article.

Disliking someone doesn't mean you deny their greatness.
I dislike LeBron James immensely, but he’s a great player.

Very true.
But his prior comments about Wilt, to me at least, don’t really indicate that he thought he was great.
