Silver Screen and Roll Makes Two Key Offseason Signings

Who the hell knows what will happen with the Los Angeles Lakers team that we all love so dearly.  They need a new head coach, they need as much new blood as they can possibly manage to bring on, and depending on who they can get for the first two categories, they might also need to make serious changes to the roster (if that's even possible).  It's questions upon questions upon questions, and the answers to the questions don't even make sense.

So forget it all for one brief moment and celebrate a couple of key acquisitions of a different sort.  Silver Screen and Roll is proud to introduce (or re-introduce, if you please) the newest members of our illustrious writing team.

WildYams may not be super well-known amongst you new kids on the block, but the old-timers will know how exciting it is to have him back in the fold.  Yams is one of the originals, a true godfather of SSR.  When the site went live some two seasons ago, he was one of the first posters, and one Josh Tucker, the man, the myth, the legend himself, recognized Yams from a variety of blogging communities, and immediately offered the man a spot on the team.  He pre-dates both Dexter and myself in terms of writing contribution to the site, and that is all you need to know.  Having seen Yams pop his head in our door quite a bit over the past few months, I contacted him about rejoining the team, and was ecstatic to hear him answer in the affirmative.  Its not every day you get a Hall of Famer to un-retire.

Our other new contributor has no previous "experience" as an author, but his reputation is no less sterling.  Ben R. is one of the most knowledgeable members of the community, and his joining the writing team really has been a long time coming.  Ben knows more about amateur and international basketball than I know about the game period, so you can look forward to him bringing that knowledge (plus more than a fair share of understanding of the Lakers and the NBA in general) to the team.  Ben is a straight up hoops junkie, and we can all look forward to a knowledge infusion with his addition.

So give these guys some love and begin salivating over SSR's continued and improved ability to bring you the best Lakers analysis on the internets.
