PrintAllow me to introduce Silver Screen and Roll's latest feature. With 900 comments on an around the league thread on Monday, and over 2,000 comments in a post about Ron Artest yesterday, it has become clear that the members of SSR are not sated with just partaking in the joys of a Laker game with friends. This community is in need of a place to go to talk about whatever is on their mind, and the need exists all the time. This is now that place.
SB Nation communities are supposed to be like internet sports bars, but even within a "sports bar", you still have options. If you want privacy, one-to-one conversation, and the opportunity to engage in specific debate about a single topic, you grab a booth. If you want to shoot the shit with friends and strangers alike, you take a seat at the bar.
Posted every morning as a fanshot, "At The Bar" will be your one-stop shop for all the daily randomness that makes SSR such a joy. By night, the thread will be front-paged, and double as your nightly game thread unless the object of our affections is in action that night (if the Lakers do play, we'll use this post as a game thread until our own gamethread takes over).
One last thing: Please feel free to rec this post to help spread the word by getting it to the top of the fanpost section, but please do not rec any future At the Bar posts. We still want our best and brightest fan-driven content to get as much publication as possible, and I'd hate to see the recommended section watered down by a daily onslaught of random conversation, no matter how awesome said conversation is. People who want to find the Bar won't have any trouble. Also along those lines, the SSR staff will be maintaining the At The Bar posts so that only two days will show up at a time to avoid the clutter.
From now on, please try to keep comments and discussions on our regular stories at least loosely related to the topic at hand. If you want to discuss Kobe's clutchness, or Ron's switchness, or Fish's intangibleness, you'll have nice, quiet "booths" in which to have focused conversations. But if you just want to kick back and enjoy the company of friends and strangers, with a little sports and current events on the side, then saunter on up and grab a seat.

You can see his stat whoring if you go back and look at games. In particular there was one earlier this year I like to use as an example. He was close to a triple double just needing some assists at the end of the game and they were down 3. He has a wide open three and he passes it up.

Lebron proved me wrong last night (special circumstances I think). I made this analogy to my coworkers.
If Kobe gets a steal at 3/4 court with 2 seconds left, what does he do? He chucks the damn ball at the rim hoping to make it. FG be damned.
If Lebron gets a steal under the same circumstance he waits for time to run out and a 1/2 second late he chucks it hoping to still make it but not hurt his FG %. Same for Paul Pierce and a lot of other stars.
These other players care more about their stats than the off chance they have to give their team 3 more points.
as kobe has said in previous yrs he don't care about his FG%

$600-900 is a fine budget for any average user. You really only look for specific things about a PC if you have specific things in mind such as the need for processing power to run things like MATLAB or maybe a computer’s ability to run Photoshop or video editing tools.

are very pretty and close to the Mac side as far as “design” goes. Reliability = about the same as any other.
Asus makes some serious gaming laptops and are amazingly awesome.

Any laptop you get has the chance for component failure, NONE of them are immune to that. Look at warranties.
If you hear users saying they have Mac OS 10 or whatever
and that you’re protected from viruses and spyware…let me tell you right now…that’s a lie. Macs get viruses just like PCs. It’s just that since more people own PCs, more viruses are made for PCs.

It’s quite easy to combat. Pick an anti-virus, make sure you have the firewall up, and then surf the net smart (meaning don’t click on the obvious ads/spam traps).

How to Make Blueberry Muffins
This classic breakfast muffin can be made year-round with frozen blueberries. This recipe makes about a dozen regular-size muffins.
1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Generously butter a standard 2 1/2-inch muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
3. Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl, stir together and form a well in the center.
4. Beat the egg and milk together in another bowl, then beat in the butter.
5. Pour the wet ingredients and the blueberries into the flour and stir the mixture together slowly only until everything is combined. The mixture should still be lumpy, not smooth.
6. Divide batter between muffin cups, filling each one about 3/4 full.
7. Bake about 20 minutes or until the tops turn golden.
8.Let the muffins cool in the tins about 5 minutes, then remove them to a rack to finish cooling.

I don't understand why
the Kings won’t move to Las Vegas instead. I mean com on, they’ve got an awesome name waiting for them there, the Las Vegas Casino Royales. sounds more bomb than Anaheim Royals of Kansas City suckitude.
