How Kobe is killing the Lakers Part 1.37 x 10(37)

Stay connected for news and updates

Yeah, so we all thought the road trip from hell was behind us. Not so fast bucko! I took another look at the schedule this afternoon. I haven't heard much chatter about the totality of the road stretch. Here are the cold, hard facts:

38 days

3 home games

14 road games

and...brace yourself now...we're only half way through those 14 road games!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(more after the jump)

OK, so we've got 7 of the next 10 on the road. Big effin' deal. There's only 1 back-to-back and it kicks off tonight. When this road run is over the rest of the season is home-heavy, and what better way to finish up the conference-loaded back end of the season than in the friendly confines of Staples Center. Kobe's re-energized, the team is rested and (I'm hoping) they are beginning to get psyched about the post-season. I think Mitch should probably keep his hands in his pockets. The team will be fine. We've got some great defense coming back soon (Barnes) and he's going to be rested and aching to make up for lost time.

Buckle up kiddies...the rest of the season is going to fun.

And for those purists out there...big effin' deal that the road games aren't CONSECUTIVE road games. It's still 14 of 17 games on the road.

NOTE: Yeah, so it didn't really have anything to do with how Kobe is or is not killing the Lakers. If what he has been doing is killing the Lakers, I'll hand him the shotgun.
