Believe it. Born and raised in L.A. and I'm a die hard Nets fan. How did this happen? That story is for another time..

I have to admit, when I first heard that the Lakers were pulling out of the CP3 trade, I was baffled, then scared. Scared because I started having the same feeling that I did last year when I heard that Melo was traded to the Knicks before I heard that we got D-Will. A feeling thats almost like a bitterness and players don't respect the Nets, and will go to a larger market team just because. Then I realized after awhile that this time is different.

Now we have a reason for players to want to come to us. We have D-Will, a new Brooklyn arena, and lots of room to make lots of moves. The reason that I'm still a little scared is because the Lakers are the Lakers. You have a history of winning, solid coaching (we'll see..), and most of all, you have Kobe. My question to you now is..how confident are you all feeling about the Lakers right now? From the outside looking in, I would feel exactly how I personally feel now. If the Lakers don't obtain D12 or CP3 (which is definitely possible, and very probably IMO) I don't foresee the Lakers getting farther then the Conference Finals for the foreseeable future.

As a Nets fan, I'm about 90% sure we're getting D12 which leaves you, the Lakers, with the same team you had last year minus LO. I can see the Lakers signing Big Shot Billups (which there's no reason not to), but that's about it.

I just can't wait for all this to be over. Input?
