So Many Emotions, So Many Questions
Whether your an emotional person like Odom, a die hard fan, or a casual fan you have to wonder, what the hell is going on. What are the Lakers upto, what exactly does Mitch have up his sleeve. Or is this just a cost cutting move, to get rid of a an unhappy player who contributed so much to this team.
You have to wonder, couldn't we get more for such a versatile player?, who was just the 6th man of the year. Why would you trade him to Dallas? Couldn't we get a better deal somewhere else. Do we know for a fact that this is just a pre-cursor to landing Howard. And speaking of Howard, if he really wanted to come play for the Lakers, like we been hearing for so long, then why are there reports that he asked to be traded to New Jersey? Why wouldn't he just ask to be traded to the Lakers? Was it to try to throw off Stern, the Gilbert's, and Cuban's? To show some fake interest in another team so it doesn't look like he's trying to dictate where he really wants to go, so he doesn't have to go thru what Paul had to go thru. I know it would be a different situation, since the NBA doesn't own the Magic, but these days you never know what the hell can happen with Stern.
I for one will miss Odom, did it annoy me a little that he married into the queens of fake drama family, and that he is doing a reality show with wifey, yes. Seemed like it would distract a player like Odom, but it didn't, he actually had one of his best years. He's going to be a big contributor for Dallas, no doubt. They are getting a great player and a great teamate.
So whats next, what does the future hold for our Lakers. It's been a crazy couple days. We almost got Paul, was it a good trade? Were we giving up to much size to get Paul? If that trade went thru, what PF would we have been looking to get to fill the void. I guess we will never know now. Everyone has an opinion on the vetoed trade, but one thing for sure it would of been interesting to see Chris Paul in a Lakers uniform playing along side the Black Mamba. It would of given us one of the best young point guards of our time, fill a void that we desperately needed for such a long time. Almost got a premier PG, we haven't had that since, well, Magic.
Listen something can change, real quick. Something can go down right now as I'm typing this. Hopefully it will be something that makes us better. We still have a championship caliber team, sure we went out like chumps last year. Maybe some change is what is needed, but at what cost. Let's all hope Mitch has something planned for us that will make us very happy, like Santa on Christmas.

You are delusional if you think this Laker roster is championship caliber; a broken down ball hog, a point guard who in his best day (over 10 years ago) was a D-League talentl, a gimpy center with crap between his ears, a wack job at small forward who can’t run, jump or defend anymore and a soft Euro who disappeared last spring because his girlfriend told him she needed “space.”
The Lakers are not even the best team in their own building.
