Peja Stojakovic is nearing a buyout, and list Lakers as a possible destination........

Being a Laker fan for the better half of my life, I can re-call the big rivalry we had with the Sacramento Queens. I remember Peja, Hedo, C-Webb, Floppy Divac, and Bibby. Fast forward to today, and I see on ESPN, that Peja wants to join the Lakers, and he also list Dallas and New Orleans as teams he has an interest in. Taking into mind that Peja is a knock down shooter.............. NOTHING more. He has the tendency to choke in the playoffs ( game 7 2002 wc playoffs).  With that said, at this point I believe he has to be atleast a better option than Luke Walton. I know that Walton knows the triangle so well, and he makes good passes, but he does take many ill-advised shots in his limited playing time. Its hard for me to say it, but I can see Peja in a Lakers jersey.. What do you all think?

No thanks. Do not want.

I can live with Luke until Barnes gets back.

"What we want to remember—what we will remember—is the indelible vision of Kobe, his arms outstretched, delirious with joy and disbelief, running after and grabbing hold of Lamar Odom’s floating downcourt pass, while all the purple and gold streamers in the world are raining down on the hardwood." - Brian Tung

Going forward, refer to all teams by the their proper names. Thanks.

That said, word is he’s gonna sign with Dallas once he clears waivers.

You can never have too many shooters. Besides

what his performance or lack of it was with other teams it doesn’t matter. Ariza, Shannon Brown and other players somehow improved when they came to the Lakers. If they can, so can Peja.

The difference is that Shannon and Trevor didn't get playing time with their former teams.

The same cannot be said of Peja. In fact, he was a starter with the Kings and with the Hornets.

I truly believe that Kobe Bryant could go a month without food, water, or an iPad if it meant another championship. Kevin Garnett would give up trash talking for an hour if it meant two more rings. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! - Rod Benson

true

but both earned their playing time on the Lakers by improving their shot. Phil would have never played them if that wasn’t the case. There is something that happens to players when they are in a team like the Lakers where its title or bust. It really changes players and I think Peja would benefit from that. Shannon and Ariza never put so much effort in the off season until they came here. Thnx Kobe! : )

Just because a player is available, doesn't mean we should want him.

well he's a shooter but can't play a lick of defense so of course I say NO

I’d want a player that can do both, now all we have to really do is get the players we have to step it up on both sides of the ball, UPS should start looking to be a defensive stopper or grow into it, all players we have should.

There are basic Fundamentals that are needed to move forward in this game. Always keep your guard up at all times to avoid being caught in a trap. Overcome the fouls that will be committed against you REBOUND AND PRESS ON. ADJUST to the Limelight: ALL-STAR PLAYERS ARE ALWAYS THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. Know what your role is and play your position. Find a game plan and execute it. REMEMBER YOU ONLY GET OUT OF THE GAME WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT.

I've always respected Peja. Yes, even when he played for the Queens

The guys a cold blooded pure shooter. However, I don’t want him taking his talents to L.A. Barnes and Luke will suffice.

Not worth the money

Maybe if he gets signed to some 1 year deal that we could trade Luke’s contract for, but otherwise it isn’t worth taking on even a 2 year contract for an already overloaded position.

Irrelevant of other concerns, he's definitely worth the minimum

Which is all that anyone is offering him right now. He’s a one-trick pony but is damn good at what he does and while that would merit more money in the off-season, he’s a bargain for the minimum. Sure, we’d have a logjam, but that’s a good problem to have.

Oh man, Luke...

I’m kind of surprised that Luke remains a Laker year after year. Anybody know when his contract is up?

"The venom of a black mamba can kill a human in four hours, if, say, bitten on the ankle or the thumb. However, a bite to the face or torso can bring death from paralysis within 20 minutes. Now, you should listen to this, 'cause this concerns you. The amount of venom that can be delivered from a single bite can be gargantuan. You know, I've always liked that word... 'gargantuan'... so rarely have an opportunity to use it in a sentence. If not treated quickly with antivenom, 10 to 15 milligrams can be fatal to human beings. However, the black mamba can deliver as much as 100 to 400 milligrams of venom from a single bite." - Elle Driver

How’s he gonna last two more years without his best friend Farmar??

why do people knock on Luke so much?

yes he has shitty shot selection… but the triangle runs like a hot knife through butter when he is in there… as an example i give last years finals game 3 i believe… the lakers hadnt been able to do much and when he came in went off on a 17 point run… if he focused on strictly running the offense instead of looking for a shot he wouldn’t look so bad… count me as a luke fan… i can see him going to minnesota in a couple years if they are still running the triangle…

When will people learn.. the greatest of all time wore number 32 and wore purple and gold....
