The NBA should pay a bonus to peace keepers

I'm sure everyone saw the altercation between Blake Griffin and Lamar Odom. I was puzzled when Griffin and Artest got ejected. I was happy to see that those technicals and fines were recendend a day later by the NBA.  Upon review it was obvious that Baron Davis was the escalator and Ron Artest was the ultimate peace keeper. I don't necessarily disagree with Baron Davis' reaction because he was coming to the defense of his rookie teammate, however, I am extremely pleased with the peace keeping efforts of Ron Artest. Players receives fines, ejections, technicals, etc. for the display of bad sportsmanship, why not flip the script to encourage the opposite? The NBA should promote this type of  positive sportsmanship by issuing a small bonus and positive recognition to such athletes who go above and beyond to keep the peace. The could even go as far as to credit a player for previous fines as a way of allowing players to "work off their bad dept". Just a thought....
