Two role players on the Lakers who should have their jersey retired
B. Scott and Fisher. Dam! Fisher is just a beast during the last 5 mins of any Lakers game. Fans want to compare Horry to Fisher but Horry never took over a hudle and inspired his team the way that Fisher has.

If, or should I say, when the Lakers win their first three-peat since 02, the organization should take a look at these championships and add them to Kobe AND Fisher’s legacy as leaders of the new Lake Show.

On other teams you may have a point
but on the Lakers it takes a truly legendary career to be put up there. Derek Fisher had a solid career and was a contributor to some great Laker teams, but is not a Hall of Fame player and more of a roll player. I think D-Fish will be remembered for his contributions, but Hall of Famers hang in the rafters of Staples Center.

had fish not been there, but we wouldn’t have gotten to the finals in 2002 without horry, and definitely wouldn’t have won 5 championships in the 1980’s without the help of cooper, scott, mcadoo, wilkes, etc.
