The Legendary Exodus of Phil Jackson.
There can be only one Big Three.
It's only August 8th, the first game isn't for almost 2 1/2 months...and I promised myself I wouldn't get so involved with regular season basketball. It seemed like the team had the same feeling last year, regular season basketball was an exhibition event preceding the playoffs. But Laker Fever is here early this year, the Santa Anna's aren't even warming up yet, but the flags are ripping in the summer heat.
LA, the capital of basketball. The Title is here to stay.
This team is complete, top to bottom, as complete as any ever. I am excited and impressed with the moves of the off season. Just as I have been in the last few years with this team. This team is the adult version of the Lakers, this seasons defense is going to get x rated, it's going to be that FILTHY.
This TEAM can win 70 games before April. Because even if a couple guys take the night off, the whole deck is stacked. Rows and rows of sharks teeth, coming at other teams.
Let's dedicate this season to Phil Jackson. This is a team that can show, what the Zen Master can do at the height of his power, this moment. I think this team can make Phil glad he came back for one more. I think this team owes it to themselves to put together an inspired season, FOR THEM. They can more than win a championship this season, they can create a LEGEND.
I can feel something in the air already....Greatness is at hand.

Ok.
Just because you throw someone a pass, and they score, it doesn't mean you made them a better player.
This was amazing.
Sarcasm can’t get through on the internet.
But hype can.

It's a bit hard to get more excited than I am right now for next season without exploding into all caps...
But I can if you want…

hate to burst your bubble
but the Lakers will win only as many as they need to to win the west next season…probably around 55
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
That's a bit... low.
Even if the Lakers played with the same attitude, they’ll probably get 60+ barring any major injuries or a barrage of minor ones.
you underestimate how easy it is to lose games you don't care about
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
The Lakers won 57 games last season.
With a myriad of minor and major injuries. They didn’t seem to care much then.
You heard the man, people.
57 wins. Practically set in stone.
Reply fail.
Yeah, I failed.
Get over it.
I’ve done it. You’ve done it.
I did it. You saw it.
Now you forgot it.

He had his time at the beginning of this decade
sorta been downhill since Anchorman for me though. Although I hear the Other Guys is hilarious

Yeah, Anchorman was his high point. Even his small part in The Wedding Crashers was kinda bad.

I don't dog any man Sarge.
Just sayin Will Ferrell had a string of great comedic movies, hell I even loved A Night at the Roxbury from so long ago, but since then, it hasn’t been the same quality as that of Anchorman. For me, he’s just no Jim Carrey.
Unfortunately the legend of MJ has long surpassed the reality of MJ. -Joshua S.
Who, by the way, had gone way down the hill.
But I thought “Yes Man” was hilarious.
"There are no "Kobe Lovers", just people who are right." - Gil Meriken
Yea
but Jim Carrey’s string of movies from Ace Ventura to Liar Liar to Bruce Almighty to Fun With Dick and Jane to Yes Man are at least consistently funny and varying on the kind of story, not to mention his serious movies aren’t bad. Either way, neither is as bad as Owen Wilson. I literally cannot stand him.
Unfortunately the legend of MJ has long surpassed the reality of MJ. -Joshua S.
I can't stand Jim movies anymore
His comedy is too dependant on how long he can stretch his face, got sick of it, although Me Myself & Irene was funny as hell. And guys…boats & hoes, you have to admit that you laughed at that.

Not a comedy
as long as he’s not trying desperately to be funny, Owen Wilson is fine. Just far too often that is what he is doing.
Unfortunately the legend of MJ has long surpassed the reality of MJ. -Joshua S.
didnt say it was a comedy bro....just that he was funny...lol

Thats what I mean
when he’s not meant to be funny all the time he’s fine, but the man can’t carry a comedy to save his life

I was actually comparing their release of comedies
and how the string of comedies compared to each other. I don’t think Jim Carrey necessarily became unfunny, just that he didn’t focus on only being so in every movie he played in.
and I enjoyed Me, Myself, and Irene, Fun With Dick and Jane, Yes Man, and Bruce Almighty, which are the only adult comedies he’s done this past decade, unless you count Man on the Moon which is based on someone’s life. He’s a better serious actor than Will Ferrell as well. But whatevs. Agree to disagree.

The only person who beats him out on the consistency of character is
Seth Rogen. I swear that man has played the exact same weed-loving, profane idiot with a good heart in every single movie he’s been in.
