Finally. The FIBA worlds get rolling today, at long last. First up for Team USA is not-terribly-formidable Croatia. The game tips off at 9:00 a.m. California time. You can catch it on ESPN Classic or online at ESPN3.com. The competishe gets more difficult the next couple days. Tomorrow the opponent is Slovenia, and Monday is Brazil.
If you get bored during today's game, amuse yourself by counting the number of times Fran Fraschilla explains why FIBA play isn't like the NBA. I dare you.

Although I do admit to sleeping until 9:40 today. It was my splurge since I get up at 5:30 AM during the week.
