Of course, the Lakers would win an "All-Time Greats" series against the Celtics...

lol, definitely LA
just for fun:
C: Kareem / Shaq / Wilt / Mikan
PF: Pau / Green / McAdoo
SF: Baylor / Worthy
SG: Kobe / West / Cooper
PG: Magic / Goodrich / Van Exel
C: Russell / Parish / Cowens
PF: McHale / Garnett / Heinsohn
SF: Bird / Pierce / Maxwell
SG: Havlicek / Jones / Allen
PG: Cousy / Johnson / White
our backcourt would run circles around them, and the four centers would dominant. i’d like to see a non-LA/celtic team, like an all-the-other-teams team, even try to challenge them.
3 Heat can't stop the 3peat.
Going with that idea of an All-Time Lakers, vs. All-Time NBA:
C: Kareem/Shaq/Wilt/Mikan
PF: Gasol/Green/McAdoo
SF: Baylor/Worthy
SG: Bryant/West/Cooper
PG: Magic/Goodrich/Van Exel
C: Russell/Olajuwon/M. Malone
PF: Duncan/K. Malone/Barkley
SF: Bird/Erving/James
SG: Jordan/Drexler
PG: Robertson/Thomas/Stockton
Honestly, I think our starting 5 might have the slightest of edges over theirs, but their bench is deeper and reserves are deeper than ours. I think the game would be closer than a lot of people would think.

i'd put pippen at 3rd small forward
rather than he-who-must-not-be-named because he can do so much, 3-pointers, defense, pretty much anything. he-who-must-not-be-named still has to prove himself. plus, i hate him. also, for center, which russell are you referring to? cause i think bill russell was on the celtics for a few years… unless some other russell i’m not aware of played at center and was better than hakeem olajuwon.
anyways, that would be a pretty good series to watch. i think our four centers would have the advantage over olajuwon and moses. the power forwards would just own us… same with the small forwards mostly. and i think magic/goodrich/van exel could take on robertson/thomas/stockton. magic makes up for thomas/stockton being superior to goodrich and van exel. and finally, kobe/west could match up with jordan/dexler pretty well.
i think the all-nba (excluding celts) team might win, but it would be ridiculously close.

Lebron
I don't do it for your thanks, I do it because I had a calling, but I do love the support you give me and my Soldiers.

oh, and same with bird too
i was talking about an all-the-other-teams team excluding boston or LA.
3 Heat can't stop the 3peat.
how about ALL time greats vs future HOF/greats
C: Kareem C: Shaq
SF: Bird SF: Lebron
SG: Jordon vs. SG: Kobe
PG: Magic PG: Chris Paul
PF: Karl Malone PF: Duncan
All of them at their primes..
at C, SF, and PF the advantage is at future HOF’ers and SG (homer glasses) cancels out.. The only weakness is at PG position obviously Magic being the Best PG ever to touch the ball… Shaq during his prime was a beast and i believe will completely own scrawny Kareem
i think the 2006 or 2007 kobe
could take on mike. shaq circa 2000 could take on kareem. he-who-must-not-be-named and bird might match up well. duncan and malone would be a great match-up to watch. aaand then magic would destroy the future HOFs. sorry, chris paul. i think the all-time greats win.

Magic
has a huge height advantage over all the guards now. It’d just be a matter of him effectively containing their quickness. This also depends on the rules that we play by. With hand-checking, I think it would be so entertaining to watch JoKo go at each other.

Well, Wilt is by far the best center ever. So, replace kareem with wilt, and wilt definitely gets the edge over shaq. I do agree that shaq in the prime of his prime is better than any other center in the their prime, except wilt. But, I have kareem, wilt, hakeem, and maybe russell over shaq for a career.
The queen’s lebacle has not only helped kobe’s legacy, but now bird will remain the top SF of all time, until Durant most likely overtakes him there at some pt.
Duncan overall is better than malone, but malone was probably better offensively, but duncan is far superior defensively, edge to duncan.
Magic easily the best.
When kobe’s on, I’ve never seen anyone better. So, if we’re talking about primes, Kobe gets the nod over jordan. And as a career overall, I think Kobe gets/will get the nod as well.
the thing with wilt is...
he didn’t play his prime years with LA. he played all his prime years with philadelphia. he didn’t score 100 with LA. he only won 1 championship with LA in his 5 years with the lakers. shaq played all of his prime years with LA, won 3 championships, and was a pure beast. kareem won 5 championships with LA, still averaged over 20 points per game 11 of the 14 seasons he was here, and scored 24K of his 38K points in a laker uniform.
that’s why in my mind, it’s kareem, then shaq, then wilt.
3 Heat can't stop the 3peat.
ah. these are all speculations...
let’s play NBA 2K or Elite to settle this… LOL
