hilarious...

loved this one…

Interactions with Lakers players: Well I had the totally immense pleasure of meeting Devean Geroge. He was having his car washed and detailed and I walked up to him and was like, "Hey you’re Brian Cook" and he was like, "Get the BLEEP away from me" and I was like, "Oh my bad, sorry Mr. Cook, didn’t know you hated people", and he was like, "Bitch I’m Devean George", and I was like, "Uhm, are you even a Laker or like a ball boy or something" and then he punched me and I fell down. It was actually quite liberating.

Ricky Rubio
The teenage point guard scored seven points and had three assists for Spain

That’s awesome! And he got to the rack against our terrifying inside presence, how did he do that? And he made a pass to an open team mate, that is amazing! And he won the game on a jump shot with time running out, he is exceptional!

As an Ammo fan, it is my Shaw-given duty to hate on Rubio.

I'm firmly convinced that he's overrated

He’s talented but he’s not God’s gift to the point guard position. His passing skill is exceptional, but until he develops a jumper or ability to finish to complement that, he’ll continue to have his impact muted. He definitely should never come over to Minny in the meantime though; his skills would be an awful fit in the triangle, even more than any of the current point guards on that roster.

To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.

He aint no Tony Parker

And I hate Tony Parker, him being a Spur, married to my ex-girlfriend (Eva Longoria 99bc99 sounds much cooler), etc.

Seriously though, compared to the last great, young phenom from Europe, Rubio is straight basura!

With the way the East is shaping up especially the Celtics

I think the Lakers should probably add another big body. But I have to admit that JR Smith wouldn’t be a bad player to back up Kobe.

"That means no more coming into camp fat and out of shape, when your team is relying on your leadership on and off the court. JR Smith can go rot in hell on some other team and shoot them out of games.

I hope that Shannon improves his outside shot.

I am not sure what the reason is that there is no obvious improvement from one year to the next.

He did have a busted up thumb almost all of last year. Only Kobe could overcome that. Put Shannon wont be forced to be so offensive minded with the second squad anymore. He can find his nitch in the offense. Steve Blake and Matt Barnes will help in this area. I think S Brown will have a much better year next year.

JR Smith would be an awful player backing up Kobe

I don’t think he understands the term “shot selection” and we thought Shannon was bad. I scream “YEEEESSSSS” whenever Smith is shooting the ball and then curses his ass when he actually makes them.

Kobe, God and I don't tweet. Everyone else does.

He is a dangerous shooter

but I agree about his knack for killing his team’s offense by chucking up shots.

He is a chucker but....

I think thats his role on the nuggets.IF you truthfully look at their roster only two people will really scare you in games. Carmelo and Smith. Billups is an annoyance to me J.R. will scare me cuz when he is on he makes they Nuggets roll more than Carmelo When he’s hot. Mostly cuz Smith is a playmaker which most people don’t actually realize. He’s really a great passer (triangle offense anyone) On a team with some true structure I think he’d be really good. If he was on the Lakers he’d play better i bet. he’s the type that respects skill. He wouldn’t do all that chucking cuz he knows that not what this team needs. The nuggets have Three people who can score by themselves and he’s one of them everyone else pretty much gets their’s thru setup plays or off of feeds and cuts. Nene Might be a the fourth who could get his but i dont know about him sometimes. I’ll agree he is a charcter before someone think s i think he’s an angel. He’s like Farmar but with way more skill and bball iq and size. Plus being under Kobe’s mentorship would help him to see ow to perpare yourself like the best do

To THE player in the league, Happy 32nd Birthday Kobe Bean Bryant! No player in the league today has the consistency, competitive edge, and determination to win (all wrapped in one), quite like he does. All of us are blessed to witness him, a legend in his own right. To this year, this championship, and hopefully all the many seasons to follow suit… Cheers!

Hey, famous girlfriends are good for something
It was Sharapova who convinced Vujacic to come to Florida last week to train for the first time at the acclaimed IMG Academy in Bradenton, where she has trained most of her athletic life.

She is preparing for the U.S. Open that begins later this month in New York. And while she was on the tennis court under the steaming midday sun, he was in the gymnasium 50 feet away, sweating through his own shirt, too. They were doing completely different workouts, on different courts, but they were pushing each other.

She was slamming shots across the net to two men, who were slamming them right back. He was working under the guidance of an IMG trainer, along with his own Serbian basketball coach. She finished before he did, then came into the gym and watched him finish. They left together.

“We’re both serious about what we do,‘’ Vujacic said after he finished. "I played a little (tennis) earlier this summer, but not now. She has to focus on a tournament. I have to start getting ready for my season.’’
