Okay...
Screen name: 99bc99
Real name: ZairaAmaterasu
Occupation:Successful independent businessman (ebay/quixstar/Fast Food Specialist) and consulting pharmabiologist.
Age: 35
Gender: male
Hometown: Lodi, California
Story behind your screen name: People consider me a god (how modest… I know… LOL.. i’m not even Ammo) and I love Panda Express to pieces. So one of my former friends with benefits (spray tan giver) one day a few years ago just started to call me “99bc99” (Japanese god of sharing baths) and everybody in my crew (I run a ship) simply followed in his footsteps. Being an ego-filled person, and totally vain, I happily accepted the trend, and decided to air a 1-hour special about it called “The Decision”. Unfortunately, there was another “Decision” already scheduled.
How I became a Lakers fan: I have always been fat, and I mean, like, you could look at me and say, “Hey he’s fat”. So I naturally started eating donuts, and there’s nothing wrong with that. One day I couldn’t tie my shoes, so I decided to play basketball, and went to the shop to pick a sports jersey. I didn’t like the colors of the cleveland ones, and couldn’t find a fit for the Sonics ones, so I picked an authentic Lakers “shaq” jersey, and it fit like a glove. This was 2001.
Favorite Lakers memory of all time and of the 2009-2010 season: Peeing in the urinal and looking up and seeing I was standing next to Jack Nicholson. That was memorable to me. Also, when I got thrown out of the Staples Center for peeing next to Jack Nicholson in the VIP lounge. Apparently the beers they serve are stronger than I imagined and the Urinal was actually the bar.
Most heartbreaking Lakers experience: Buying courtside tickets from my man “Anthony” outside the Staples Center for three large only to find out I was actually sitting in the rafters. The good thing was at least everybody around me was cheering, and not one person had their cell phone out.
Favorite Lakers player: Need to ask? I rarely feel bonds and inspirations around like those Ammo inspires in me. Really … when I say he’s my hero I do say it because I find somebody to confront my own approach to life with in the way he manages to practice this sport. Do Your Best. Every Day More. This is the greatest lesson in life, and Ammo just [does] it so incredibly well. That’s why he’s my fav player and forever will be. Also his mustache, physique, and tan.
Greatest all-time Laker: Like, awe inspiring with powers? That would be Adam Morrison. For actually playing the game, and making baskets, and dunking, and going all “show time”? That would also be Adam Morrison.
Last time you went to a game at Staples Center and at the Forum: See above answer. I’m no longer allowed into the Staples Center. You can, however, often see me in the post-game for KCAL9 or Fox Sports West, I’m the dumpy guy with the mullet and wife beater.
Opposing team, player you dislike the most: That would be the Supersonics. If there was ever a city that didn’t deserve a team, it would be Seattle. They have no history there, no love for the game, and would be better off not having a team at all. It’s like a kid with a nice car, he doesn’t deserve it but his parents work at Wall Mart. Eff that man, forget you Supersonics. On a side note, why not open more franchises in say, Oklahoma, a well known basketball Mecca?
Interactions with Lakers players: Well I had the totally immense pleasure of meeting Devean Geroge. He was having his car washed and detailed and I walked up to him and was like, “Hey you’re Brian Cook” and he was like, “Get the BLEEP away from me” and I was like, “Oh my bad, sorry Mr. Cook, didn’t know you hated people”, and he was like, “Bitch I’m Devean George”, and I was like, “Uhm, are you even a Laker or like a ball boy or something” and then he punched me and I fell down. It was actually quite liberating.
Most cherished piece of Lakers memorabilia I have: For a while it was a bruise inflicted by Devean George. Then a little later I bid on e-bay for some actual Adam Morrison shower grime taken from his dorm in Gonzaga. Wow, I cherish that, and keep it in my freezer.
Memorable stories about being a Lakers fan: There was one time when I got really blitzed on watered down beer at the Staples Center and, lol, get this, I went to the VIP Lounge… wait, nm, I already mentioned that. Probably the time that I was outside and started this chant of “Boston Sucks”, that was cool. Also the day I found this place called youtube and was able to check out all these sick Kobe dunks. Yeah, maybe that. Oh yeah, how about the time I heard Ammo was coming to the Lakers? LOL. Cha-ching, I was like, “Instant 5-peat baby”. Yeah that was cool too.

Ricky Rubio
The teenage point guard scored seven points and had three assists for Spain
That’s awesome! And he got to the rack against our terrifying inside presence, how did he do that? And he made a pass to an open team mate, that is amazing! And he won the game on a jump shot with time running out, he is exceptional!
As an Ammo fan, it is my Shaw-given duty to hate on Rubio.

lebron should just lock himself away and not talk for the rest of forever-LA32
I'm firmly convinced that he's overrated
He’s talented but he’s not God’s gift to the point guard position. His passing skill is exceptional, but until he develops a jumper or ability to finish to complement that, he’ll continue to have his impact muted. He definitely should never come over to Minny in the meantime though; his skills would be an awful fit in the triangle, even more than any of the current point guards on that roster.
To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
He aint no Tony Parker
And I hate Tony Parker, him being a Spur, married to my ex-girlfriend (Eva Longoria 99bc99 sounds much cooler), etc.
Seriously though, compared to the last great, young phenom from Europe, Rubio is straight basura!

With the way the East is shaping up especially the Celtics
I think the Lakers should probably add another big body. But I have to admit that JR Smith wouldn’t be a bad player to back up Kobe.

I hope that Shannon improves his outside shot.
I am not sure what the reason is that there is no obvious improvement from one year to the next.

He did have a busted up thumb almost all of last year. Only Kobe could overcome that. Put Shannon wont be forced to be so offensive minded with the second squad anymore. He can find his nitch in the offense. Steve Blake and Matt Barnes will help in this area. I think S Brown will have a much better year next year.

JR Smith would be an awful player backing up Kobe
I don’t think he understands the term “shot selection” and we thought Shannon was bad. I scream “YEEEESSSSS” whenever Smith is shooting the ball and then curses his ass when he actually makes them.
Kobe, God and I don't tweet. Everyone else does.
He is a dangerous shooter
but I agree about his knack for killing his team’s offense by chucking up shots.
"That means no more coming into camp fat and out of shape, when your team is relying on your leadership on and off the court. He is a chucker but....
I think thats his role on the nuggets.IF you truthfully look at their roster only two people will really scare you in games. Carmelo and Smith. Billups is an annoyance to me J.R. will scare me cuz when he is on he makes they Nuggets roll more than Carmelo When he’s hot. Mostly cuz Smith is a playmaker which most people don’t actually realize. He’s really a great passer (triangle offense anyone) On a team with some true structure I think he’d be really good. If he was on the Lakers he’d play better i bet. he’s the type that respects skill. He wouldn’t do all that chucking cuz he knows that not what this team needs. The nuggets have Three people who can score by themselves and he’s one of them everyone else pretty much gets their’s thru setup plays or off of feeds and cuts. Nene Might be a the fourth who could get his but i dont know about him sometimes. I’ll agree he is a charcter before someone think s i think he’s an angel. He’s like Farmar but with way more skill and bball iq and size. Plus being under Kobe’s mentorship would help him to see ow to perpare yourself like the best do

To THE player in the league, Happy 32nd Birthday Kobe Bean Bryant! No player in the league today has the consistency, competitive edge, and determination to win (all wrapped in one), quite like he does. All of us are blessed to witness him, a legend in his own right. To this year, this championship, and hopefully all the many seasons to follow suit… Cheers!

LOLWUT, kwame is headed to the bobcats
The NBA reunion NO ONE saw coming: Kwame Brown’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, tells ESPN.com that Kwame is signing with Michael Jordan’s Bobcats
Kwame agrees to one-year minimum deal w/Bobcats to try to “create a new chapter,” according to Bartelstein, after unhappy Wiz chapter w/MJ

he is a really decent back Center

hes not a bad first option,
if you have plenty of other options on the offensive end. he cannot be counted on on the offensive side of the ball, but can hold his own defensively. i actually thought he played well when he was on detroit.

Thing is... LA could say the same thing for 2008.
The half-crazed ramblings of a Lakers fanatic living in Japan...
Oooh... good point from one of the commenters on that linked piece...
You know, no one has beaten the Lakers’ starting five (since acquiring Pau Gasol) in any series either. The ONLY series the Lakers have lost since his acquisition was the 2008 Finals, when Bynum wasn’t playing due to injury.
Shut up, Doc Rivers.

Hey, famous girlfriends are good for something
It was Sharapova who convinced Vujacic to come to Florida last week to train for the first time at the acclaimed IMG Academy in Bradenton, where she has trained most of her athletic life.
She is preparing for the U.S. Open that begins later this month in New York. And while she was on the tennis court under the steaming midday sun, he was in the gymnasium 50 feet away, sweating through his own shirt, too. They were doing completely different workouts, on different courts, but they were pushing each other.
She was slamming shots across the net to two men, who were slamming them right back. He was working under the guidance of an IMG trainer, along with his own Serbian basketball coach. She finished before he did, then came into the gym and watched him finish. They left together.
“We’re both serious about what we do,‘’ Vujacic said after he finished. "I played a little (tennis) earlier this summer, but not now. She has to focus on a tournament. I have to start getting ready for my season.’’
