Nice post...

Yeah that Bynum dunk is my favorite too. BTW it would be easier to set up a new account.

Good post

I’m still miffed we lost that game to the Celtics (I know, I know, we won that Champ on them).

My favorite dunk of the bunch is Ron Ron over Sheed. I mean, where the hell did that come from Ron? Awesome.

I woke up this morn. 2 find this

and i gotta say its better than breakfast in bed. I know their is alot more dunks the game we lost in the regular season.

You know the dunk where L.O posterized Ray Allen? You just see L.O walk away like whatever and he gets props from Drew and Shannon Brown. Well you know damn well if that was K.G dunking on somebody you would see him taunting and pounding his chest like he’s a viking about to go to war.

why did shannon not ask for pointers from a former slam dunk champ like kobe?

Speaking of Kobe and the slam dunk contest

NBA tv showed the slam dunk contests thru the years and it showed the 97’ one with Kobester in it and he freaking killed the rim at 18 years old. Kobe in his dunking prime > shannon brown now.

kobe had so many great poster dunks

I think Kobe’s last year of being an atheletic dunker was the 08’ season when he was 29. Even then Kobe had some hard dunks, now Kobe will only dunk when they pass him the ball during a fastbreak or when he gets an open lane. Fucking Kobe I wish he never aged, he’s soon turning 32! I can’t believe that…

This is true, but I don't think the athleticism is gone

He did try to throw down over Turiaf this year, and got UP. He just got swatted by a great defensive play, and you can actually see Kobe lose the ball on the way up because of his finger.

Also, this year we had this:

Looks pretty damn athletic to me. I think we need to remember how injured and banged up Kobe was this year. Of course he’s lost some lift, he’s gotten older, stronger, and heavier. The man’s a world class and level superstar though, and he’s got years to go of athletic play.

I hope your right

Hey maybe you are right, prior to him being injured he was throwing some reverse dunks against Atlanta and Phoenix in the start of the season and he had a pretty damn good lift in them, plus he had like 6 I believe 40 point games up until January.

about turiaf

I remember that, he got a great lift but the bigger turiaf blocked it from the side. One thing about Kobe he was never afraid to slam the fucking ball over a center or foward bigger than him.

that boldness rewarded him with some of the best dunks you'll ever see

start with big ben, duncan, yao, dwight, etc etc

You know what, what Kobe lost is explosiveness his athleticism is still there. I was watching videos and game recaps of last seasons games and saw Kobe with a double clutch dunk and two other fastbreak dunks all in one game against Memphis. He also threw down flashy reverse dunks against the Suns and Hawks and 9 as I correct myself, 40 point games and and multiple 30+ point games and a grip of 25+ point games.

He could

He could jump and hit his head on the rim, and then fall really hard on the floor, and then get up like Glen Davis and stumble into Joe Crawford, and then tell him he’s ok, and then sit on the bench and repeat “Me Want Ball,” and then go for his second dunk, and then cost us a championship.

But that’s worst case scenario.

Whatever. Everybody knows the Lakers get all the calls. Like Pau’s obviuos up and down and 21 free throws in the 4th quarter in game 7. Consider yourself blessed that Perkins got heart. Celtics going for 18 next year. holla. West coast is for soft suckas. If I was out in LA I’d be a Clipper fan. Laker fans are so Hollywood, they dont even cheer. Kobe’s wife and Lamar’s “lovely wife” cant go to boston cause their fans are to mean. Hilarious! We Got Shaq now! Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes.
