XII-Men & A Delayed Introduction

I enjoy reading, but I'm not a very good writer, it's hard for me to translate my thoughts into words. But even if that's the case, I still want to contribute whatever amount I could to SS&R. This blog is already loaded with great writers, and that's awesome because there's always something new and interesting for me to read everyday . But I realize that it's not just in me to be one of those great writers, so instead I'd contribute as an artist.

Star-divide

There's been a lot of NBA stars to superheroes comparison going on lately, especially with the new big 3 in Miami (eg Wade = Batman, LeBron = Robin, Bosh = Batdog, Batgirl, Alfred). And some old ones, like Wade = Flash because of his speed, and LeBron = Iron Man because he's unstoppable whenever his game/armor is on, but inside that armor is just another self-centered, flamboyant millionaire. So I thought about what would the Lakers be if they were superheroes, and here's what I came up with:

It's up to you guys to analyze why I choose them, and please feel free to share your comparisons as well, it might give me new inspirations to work on. Thanks.

the KOBE one!!!

I don't do it for your thanks, I do it because I had a calling, but I do love the support you give me and my Soldiers.

Kobe=Wolverine

because they are the leaders, the most fierce on the team, and they heal quickly.

yap, pretty much

he’s also indestructible, a loner (but is followed by many). not to mention the most bad-ass mutant there is.

I had an argument with a friend

who thought that Cyclops was a better mutant than Wolverine.

I mean, come on, seriously… he’s indestructible!

He combated me by saying

that if Cyclops used a full blast on Wolverine he could make him disintegrate and kill him. lol.

Nope

He led by example and many times he was wrong, but he always atoned for it in the end.

Xavier was thier leader

but Logan was his captain

So you're saying

only one person can lead a group at a time. Wolverine was enough of a rebel that he had his own brand of leadership for those that chose to follow. And he was like the best in combat training.
And rballer is right that Cyclops and Storm are usually the captains of the team. Xavier would’ve been like the strategizer and mentor.

Sort of like how Kobe atoned for his bad Game 7 shooting

by grabbing 15 rebounds.

Here's what was posted on Lakersground.net

Kobe = Wolverine
Best there is at what he does — and what he does isn’t very nice.

Fish = Cyclops
Team leader, hits from distance.

Pau = Beast
Big, strong, smart, hairy.

Bynum = Colossus
Strongest guy we got, but not always the meanest.

Artest = Gambit
Unpredictable and explosive.

Odom = Iceman
Cold-shooter, and still beats you.

Blake = Nightcrawler
Small but scrappy hand-to-hand fighter.

Walton = Forge
Smart… and that’s about it.

Sasha = Banshee
Whines opponents into submission.

Barnes = Warpath
Name says it all, folks.

Phil = Prof. Xavier
Master of mind games, gets inside your head.

And the Heat? Easy = The Brotherhood of Mutants?

Riley = Magneto
Unparalleled power to attract.

Wade = Quicksilver
X-Men equivalent of Flash.

MeBron = Sabretooth
Always in Wolverine’s shadow.

Bosh = Toad
Gangly arms and legs, mouth gets him into trouble.

Miller = Longshot
Self-explanatory name, and lucky jerk, too.
